BY   Emils Plinte

My name is Emils Niks Plinte and I from Latvia, Salaspils.

I've been doing photography professionally for almost 2 years now but overall it would be 4th year. As a photographer, I view the world through a creative lens. This creativity has led me to many adventures, and has given me the chance to collaborate with some truly talented individuals. Finding a style was a tough road for me, after more than 4 years I've finally found a beginning for my style, but there is still  long way to go for a perfect product/style.

BY  ERICK  CARIO

My name is Erick Cario and i’m a self taught photographer living in Round Rock, TX. I always loved photography and what a powerful statement an image can have. I started taking pictures with point and shoot cameras and cell phones. I never thought I would ever own a DSLr camera. After COVID-19 I got laid off from my employer but, quickly saw it as an opportunity to work on doing what I loved and that was taking pictures. After receiving positive feedback and encouragement I produced more images and ended up purchasing a Canon Rebel T7. I have been working harder and diligently at mastering the craft and art of photography since

Title: Pose

Description: During 2020 I had lots of thoughts, and one of them was about anxiety. I do get anxious and I wanted to create a still life project which could showcase anxiety, but not just my anxiety I wanted to also showcase other people's anxiety. After doing some research, I understood that of course everyone experiences anxiety in various ways, and to deeply understand people's various experiences with anxiety, I decided to ask some people how they feel when they are anxious. Some of them feel breathless which can lead them to hyperventilate sometimes, they do also feel bloated or they keep moving around, but some of them also start sweating a lot, they start daydreaming and they can't move.

I want to share some of the things people told me about their anxiety:

Person A: " I do also have social anxiety which makes me feel like I'm being pierced by a thousand tiny needles made of ice. My chest feels tight and I struggle to breathe it feels like I'm drowning in an ice lake. "

Person B: " My head begins turning into a mental fog where my thoughts are bouncing on each other, a combination of traumas and past events which collide. My brain takes control of my body and makes me say or do things to protect myself from doing things out of my comfort zone. "

Person C: " I never get any sleep when I'm anxious, and sometimes I end up crying for hours until my mom hears me. "

I didn't share their names as I want to protect their privacy, but they gave me the freedom to share what they told me.
